For centuries, the basic design of the tent peg / stake / ground anchor has remained largely unchanged. Since the first wooden stick was used as a stake, most developments have simply involved different materials or minor variations in shape, twisting, bending, or altering the profile.

Despite these variations, the fundamental concept has remained the same:a simple stake driven into the ground that relies primarily on soil friction and suction for stability.
Legacy pegs share a critical limitation, the insertion hole and extraction path are identical. Once ground tension is broken, the peg / stake / ground anchor can be pulled free under load.

Typhoon Anchor-G ( TA-G )

The Typhoon Anchor-G represents the next evolution in ground anchor technology.
While the Typhoon Anchor uses the same size insertion and extraction hole as a traditional peg / stake / ground anchor, it has been carefully engineered to behave very differently beneath the surface. Its unique design deploys a larger subterranean footprint once installed, creating a far more secure anchor in the ground.

As upward forces increase, such as strong winds acting on a tent or structure, the Typhoon Anchor responds by expanding its underground footprint, increasing resistance and holding strength.
In simple terms, the stronger the load applied, the stronger the anchor becomes.

Constructed from robust engineering materials, the Typhoon Anchor can be driven into the ground using a mallet and easily removed by pulling on the outer sheath.

Where many legacy anchors can fail under loads of around 1kg, the Typhoon Anchor has demonstrated the ability to withstand forces of 30kg or greater in comparable ground conditions.
The result is a stronger, smarter anchoring system designed for real-world outdoor environments.
