TAP Maintenance
The Typhoon Anchor has been designed to require minimal maintenance. Constructed from robust, corrosion-resistant materials, it is built for durability in demanding environments.
To ensure reliable long-term performance, the following procedures are recommended.
After Each Use:
- Unscrew the tip and cock the TAP mechanism several times to allow debris to fall free.
- If excessive debris is present in the shaft chamber, repeat the same procedure under running water or with the anchor immersed to flush out particles.
- Refit and securely tighten the tip before storing or reusing the anchor.
Long-Term Storage:
- Follow the cleaning procedure described above.
- If the anchor is wet, leave the sprung fins extended until fully dry.
- Store in a dry environment.
- As an optional measure, apply a light spray of oil into the shaft tube with the tip removed. Cock the mechanism several times before replacing the tip.
These simple steps will ensure the Typhoon Anchor remains reliable and ready whenever it is needed.
